Exploring the Benefits of Natural Skincare with Jackie Rogers and House of Hilt

I have a special love for elegant women and the grace they bring to all they do. Jackie Rogers, Founder and CEO of House of Hilt, is one woman whose refined taste is evident in everything she touches. Her office exudes excellence and elegance, like a chic salon in Paris or Milan. Today, I'm thrilled to share Jackie’s journey and the exquisite cosmetic line she has created with natural ingredients and built on a deep commitment to excellence.

Before diving into the story, I want to highlight something about our times: more people now appreciate the value of a unique experience. Even purchasing a cosmetic product can be an experience when it carries its creator's personal touch and meticulous oversight. This personal connection imbues the product with unique energy and enhances its quality, far beyond what is possible from mass-produced items churned out by impersonal factories. This is why buying locally crafted products holds much more value and charm.

Jackie's journey into skincare is both fascinating and inspiring. After college, she worked in the family grocery store business, serving customers, working on product displays, and preparing recipes from scratch. This hands-on experience led her to a career at Boar's Head, a well-known US company, where she was deeply involved in sales and marketing. Her comfort with operations and manual work made manufacturing second nature to her.

Transitioning from food to skincare might seem like a leap, but it was a natural progression for Jackie. A resident of Sarasota since 1996, she has always been passionate about quality and craftsmanship. In 2018, while working as a video producer, she started House of Hilt. Her shift to skincare began after a negative experience with a high-end product from a department store that caused severe skin reactions. Seeking help, she consulted Jenny, her esthetician in Sarasota, who highlighted the harmful chemicals in many products. This revelation inspired Jackie to create a better, cleaner skincare line. Today, Jenny is an integral part of the House of Hilt brand, educating customers, cultivating relationships, and managing social media.

House of Hilt is an acronym for Honesty, Integrity, Loyalty, and Trust. Jackie wanted customers to trust that anything from Hilt would be safe, clean, and effective. The pandemic in 2020 made people more conscious of their skincare choices, further solidifying Jackie's commitment to her brand. She dedicated herself to Hilt full-time, focusing on offering products that truly benefit the skin. It is more than just a skincare line; it embodies a clean-living philosophy and elegant simplicity. Derrick De Silva Jr., MD, an integrative internist, plays a crucial role in the team, advising on product formulation and educating people on the impact of toxic ingredients on the endocrine system.

In sunny Florida, Jackie emphasizes the importance of daily SPF use, even on cloudy days, to protect the skin from harmful rays. Hilt’s sunscreen, crafted without any white cast or greasy residue, is plant-based and aligns perfectly with its clean beauty ethos.

Creating high-quality products is challenging. The U.S. skincare industry remains underregulated compared to Europe. Despite these regulatory gaps, House of Hilt is committed to producing plant-based, toxin-free products, avoiding fillers like dimethicone or polymers to ensure every product is as pure as it is effective. This meticulous manufacturing occurs in Sarasota, ensuring careful control over every process step.

Hilt’s products are sold primarily online and available through doctors' offices, med spas, and estheticians. Events like the Sarasota Women’s Expo provide valuable opportunities to connect with local entrepreneurs and expand their community reach.

House of Hilt products are unique and serve a specific purpose, but one standout product is the Amber Primrose Oil, a 25% vitamin C serum and moisturizer. Its oil-based formulation ensures deep absorption without irritation, effectively addressing hyperpigmentation and fine lines and providing a radiant complexion. Another favorite is the Peptide Serum, known for its remarkable results in improving skin texture and firmness.

Looking forward, Jackie and her team are developing new products such as a bakuchiol serum, a natural alternative to retinol, and a luxurious body oil. They continue to innovate while maintaining their commitment to clean, effective skincare.

Her dedication to supporting local production and meticulous attention to detail is evident in every aspect of House of Hilt. From the elegant packaging to the thoughtfully formulated products, Hilt epitomizes sophistication and integrity in the skincare industry.

Jackie reflects on her journey in her beautiful studio, surrounded by carefully curated decor. Inspired by her parents' hardworking ethos and her passion for clean living, she continues educating others to choose healthier, more mindful skincare options.
