Selby Gardens. Exhibition. Yayoi Kusama: "A Letter to Georgia O"Keeffe."

I’m lucky to live just a few minutes from Selby Gardens, my go-to spot for recharging and finding inspiration. This place is unique — it is stunning and the world’s only botanical garden dedicated to epiphytic orchids, bromeliads, gesneriads, and ferns.

Selby Gardens is hosting an extraordinary exhibition, "Yayoi Kusama: A Letter to Georgia O’Keeffe," but time is running out! There's only one month left to experience this unique showcase of nature-inspired art.

In the 1950s, a young Yayoi Kusama contacted Georgia O’Keeffe for guidance. O’Keeffe’s response, filled with encouragement, was a turning point for Kusama, giving her the confidence to move to New York and pursue her art. This exhibition is a tribute to their inspiring connection and a platform to showcase their nature-inspired works.

Explore Selby Gardens, renowned for its incredible collection of epiphytic plants. Soak in the beauty of the plants, and immerse yourself in the fascinating works of Kusama and O’Keeffe. Bring a friend and make a day of it—you won’t regret it!
