Speaking about the origins of his journey, Tynan shared:
“Soul Expansion & Hidden Gem SRQ was born from passion and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of crystals. My journey began in California, where I ran a music production company and spent years immersed in music festivals. At these festivals, I encountered crystal booths for the first time. Then, in 2012, something shifted—fluorite crystals started appearing in my life, gifted by strangers after my DJ sets. It felt like the universe was pointing me toward something greater. Over time, I became fascinated with fluorite and sacred geometry, and before I knew it, I was collecting crystals and creating jewelry to share their energy with others.”
In 2021, Tynan and his family left California's snow-capped mountains for Sarasota’s warm beaches and vibrant community. He recalls the move with a sense of destiny. “We were drawn here by intuition, and from the moment we arrived, Sarasota felt like home,” he said. It wasn’t long before he opened his first shop on Gateway Avenue, which became more than just a store—it was a gathering space for people curious about crystals and the energy they carry.
Tynan fostered connections far beyond commerce through events like Hidden Gem After Dark. These gatherings brought together people from all walks of life, united by curiosity and a shared love for the healing properties of crystals. “There’s something magical about creating a space where people feel connected—not just to the crystals but to each other,” Tynan said.
This summer, he expanded his vision with the Soul Expansion Center & Hidden Gem SRQ, blending his love for crystals with wellness experiences like sound healing, guided meditations, and pyramid activation sessions. “The center is a high-vibration space where people can explore their spirituality, connect with others, and recharge,” he explained.
Tynan’s carefully curated collection of raw crystals from around the world transforms the space into a celebration of nature’s artistry. He calls his jewelry, made from sterling silver, gold, and untreated stones, “energetic armor.” Each piece is crafted to resonate with the wearer’s energy, helping them manifest their intentions and stay grounded in their daily lives.
